 Film: "Adios Patria: The Cuban Exodus"
Sunday, April 20th at 7:30pm

This award-winning documentary depicts the plight of those who emigrated from Castro's Cuba throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the Mariel boatlift of 1980 and the Balsero crisis of the 1990s. Discussant will be Amy Serrano, a Cuban exile and the producer of this film. Free and open to all. Learn more here.
Emmeline: The Global Bear

After being struck by a milk tanker and knocked off her perch, Emmeline has been the focus of a great deal of attention. Dr. Lynette Bosch, professor and Department Chair of Art History at SUNY Geneseo, will discuss Emmeline and other bear statues far and wide. Co-sponsored by APOG and the Art History Department. Wargames Among the Warplanes

National Warplane Museum

Come watch or join in as miniature wargamers play against one another in historically based battles of skill, experience (and some luck) on large tables. The event is $8, which includes entry to the museum, and open to all. Visit the National Warplane Museum website here.

Gypsy: A Musical Fable

Where: Alice Austin Theatre in Brodie Hall

Gypsy is a 1959 musical based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee. Music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Arthur Laurents. Tickets cost $10 for students and $15 General Admission and are available at the Brodie Box Office or online here.
12th Annual Relay for Life at SUNY Geneseo

Real Women Have Curves

Student-directed readings from SUNY Geneseo's Theater 321 class. Real Women Have Curves tells a comical tale of the trials and tribulations of five Mexican-American women working in East LA's garment district. 14th Annual American Rock Salt Lecture

Gillen D'Arcy Wood, professor of environmental humanities at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will deliver this year's lecture titled "Frankenstein's Weather: The Year Without a Summer, 1816." This lecture is free and open to the public. Click here to learn more!

The weekend will include various events held by the college. A free "late night" alumni shuttle will be provided that will loop from campus to nearby hotels until 2:30 am. All alumni are welcome to visit and no registration is required for many of the events! For more information visit here.

Welcome Back Kelly's!

In July 2015, a tragic fire on Main Street burned down Kelly's Saloon and damaged several neighboring shops and apartments. After 11 months of restoration, Kelly's Saloon reopened on March 17th, just in time for St. Patrick's Day! Congratulations to Kelly's on their reopening and welcome back to Main Street! Michael Teres: 50 Years of Photography

Teres, a retired professor of art, began his photographic journey as a youngster in Brooklyn New York.  His interest and fascination with light and its affect on forms and objects continues. Learn more about this exhibit here.
